The Guildhall School of Music & Drama is a vibrant, international community of musicians, actors and production artists in the heart of the City of London. We are a global leader in creative and professional practice, we promote innovation, experiment and research, and are also one of the UK’s leading providers of lifelong learning in the performing arts.
Our short courses offer inspiring training for children, young people, adult learners, and creative and business professionals. We aim to open up the world of the conservatoire to people outside of formal learning, making our resources and expertise available to others. We welcome around 1,000 participants every year, and our provision spans music, drama, production arts and other art forms.
We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to take on this new role, to be a key part in this busy and dynamic team. The role will support the Head of Open Programmes to deliver an expanding programme of courses across the year, both on campus and online. The role will manage Open Programmes operations, and will act as key liaison with internal departments, short course tutors, and external suppliers. The Production Manager will also oversee our excellent standards of customer experience, and take responsibility for safeguarding.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in planning, production and delivery of large-scale projects and programmes within a creative field, ideally within a learning context. You will have excellent organisational skills, be able to think independently, and identify practical solutions when under pressure. You will also have a flair for working with people at all levels, maintaining great working relationships, inspiring colleagues and supporting participants to have the best experience they can.
