We are seeking motivated and reliable Gardeners to join the Estates Grounds team dedicated to the maintenance and development of all University of Reading campuses, halls of residence, and outdoor sports facilities.

Based at the 134 Hectare Green Flag Award winning Whiteknights campus the post-holder will have the opportunity to use a broad range of equipment to complete horticultural, grounds management, and habitat conservation tasks.

You will:

• Be self-motivated and give reliable service at a consistently high level
• Be able to work as part of a team
• Be able to follow written or oral instructions
• Undertake lifting and other manual tasks
• Work outside all year in a range of environments

You will have:

• A willingness to participate and succeed in any training deemed appropriate to the role
• A valid UK driving licence enabling you to drive light vans and self-propelled equipment
• Experience in carrying out a wide range of grounds maintenance tasks
• Experience in the safe use of common grounds maintenance machines
• Knowledge and awareness of health and safety practices and expectations.
• Previous experience of working in grounds maintenance teams
