We would like to recruit a candidate who shares these research and knowledge exchange ambitions and can contribute to the research culture at Solent, joining our active research community. In your role, you will be supported to be involved in research, knowledge exchange and scholarly activity.
Solent University is seeking a Senior Lecturer to contribute to the delivery of teaching excellence for our nursing programmes. This is a full-time role with a focus on teaching and pedagogy with some involvement in research and innovation.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Department of Social Sciences and Nursing at Solent University to be part of the growing BSc Mental Health Nursing team. Successful applicants will have a passion for education, thrive on seeing students succeed, have ambition and an inquiring mind. The successful candidate will demonstrate effective skills to support trainee nurses to have a clear vision of the future nurse, contributing to safe person-centred care and to meet the NMC standards for registration.
The role includes designing and delivering education and assessment through blended learning and through the use of simulation.
We are seeking a professionally qualified mental health nurse with a collaborative ethos and significant experience of the development and delivery of high-quality health professional education. Extensive track record of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level, using effective techniques to design, deliver and assess engaged education, including at course level. Proven ability to plan, manage, organise and assess own teaching contributions, demonstrating leadership, innovation and quality. You will have the ability to mentor, manage, motivate and coordinate teaching teams, delegating effectively.
