We are looking to appoint an exceptional primary care clinical teacher to support our work enthusing St George’s medical undergraduates about a career in primary care and supporting their journey towards becoming confident clinicians, through excellent placement experience in primary care settings.
SGUL students are highly satisfied with SGUL placements in primary care and the teaching from our excellent GP tutor colleagues. We are aiming to continue to improve and expand the student primary care experience. The post holder will have direct contact teaching students and will support the primary care education group to develop innovative excellent teaching for the SGUL MBBS curriculum.
We would like to hear from qualified GPs with experience of teaching at an undergraduate or postgraduate level, who would be interested in this part-time role.
Key attributes of the successful applicant include:
- Experience and a scholarly approach to teaching undergraduates or postgraduate learners in primary care, with excellent student feedback
- Undertaken postgraduate training in medical education.
- Experience of innovating, delivering and evaluating educational interventions
- A scholarly approach to developing teaching innovations
- Excellent project and time-management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and teamworking skills
