Senior Manager - Online Programmes

Salary from £48,196 to £55,718 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £62,053 pa inclusive of London allowance

LSE’s portfolio of online programmes makes our world-leading teaching and research accessible to a global audience of lifelong learners at a moment when the value and demand for online education has never been greater. The portfolio includes:

• Online Certificate Courses: a growing suite of over 30 courses which enable professionals to upskill in new skills or subjects. Launched in 2017, to date over 26,000 participants have completed course.
• Online Degree Programmes: 9 undergraduate degrees offered in partnership with the University of London, which make a world-class degree accessible to students and working professionals.
• Online Masterclasses: a portfolio of short courses launched in 2021 which offer participants new knowledge in a bite-sized format and the opportunity to participate in the academic debate for which LSE is renowned.
• Online Career Accelerator: a new 6-month long data analytics programme focussed on employment and engagement with industry.
• Online MicroBachelors: a series of stackable MOOCs offered on the EdX platform, which, when studied and passed as a complete series, offer an accessible pathway to the undergraduate degree programmes.

LSE Online is seeking to appoint a highly committed and motivated Senior Manager to work across our portfolio of online programmes, working as part of the Senior Leadership Team to drive the strategy to extend the reach of LSE’s Online Programmes and provide a high-quality student experience.

The successful candidate will combine excellent project management skills, knowledge of executive education and/or online learning and an ability to build strong internal networks and maintain strong relationships with key service providers over time

They will take responsibility for:

• Creating and implementing short, medium and long-term plans for the development of LSE’s Online Certificate Courses, Online Masterclasses, Career Accelerators and a new portfolio of MOOCs and specialisations
• Overseeing the development delivery of our Online Programmes
• Managing key stakeholder relationships with LSE academics and external partners
