About the Role
We are looking to appoint a Lecturer who is able to deliver teaching and assessment at undergraduate and postgraduate level in Digital Circuit Design; Operating Systems; Machine Learning.
This post will be on a teaching only contract, therefore research activity will not be part of the expected duties.
About You
You should have a PhD in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related subject taught on the Joint Programme/Joint Education Institution or equivalent professional qualification and or experience. You will have experience in teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate level with the demonstrable ability to deliver teaching at both levels with some guidance. You should be able to communicate new and complex information effectively, both verbally and in writing, engaging the interest and enthusiasm of the target audience. You should also have clear and ambitious plans for future scholarship activities. The posts are based in London but you will spend a significant amount of time in Beijing for teaching and assessment so you must therefore be able to travel regularly to China.
About the School of EECS
The School is well-known for pioneering research and world-class projects. Since 2004 we successfully operating double degree programmes jointly with Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT). We were the first to be approved as part of the “key university” quota by the Chinese Ministry of Education and are the first in China to be accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology. Our programmes are taught in English and based entirely in Beijing with around 2,700 registered students.

This is a full-time, permanent appointment, with an expected start date of February 2023. The starting salary will be Grade 5-6, in the range of £44,931-£55,805 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
