Duties of the Role
As part of a strong professional services team, you will provide administrative support to all staff and students following undergraduate and postgraduate courses. You will be expected to take responsibility for specific initiatives or projects on behalf of the Deputy Department Manager / Department Manager, provide administration services in relation to courses, modules, assessment and student records, and support the work of the professional services team and academic staff as a whole.
Duties will include providing information, advice and guidance in response to student and visitor queries in person, by telephone or email; processing the submission and return of coursework; and collating and processing data on student attendance and non-submission of coursework.

Qualifications and Skills required
Applicants will be educated to A Level/BTEC or equivalent with a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade A-C (or equivalent) including Mathematics and English. Excellent IT skills and experience of using databases is essential, whilst IT and administrative qualifications (at NVQ level 3 or equivalent) are considered desirable.
In addition, relevant and recent administrative experience in a busy and complex office environment and of working within a customer focused environment are both essential.
With highly developed organisations skills, you will have the ability to process information quickly in a changing environment whilst working accurately and managing multiple priorities. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and function well as part of a friendly team. Flexibility and the capacity to exercise initiative appropriately are essential attributes for this post.
