The above part time (0.2 FTE) post is available immediately for 7 months in the Clinical Doctoral PGR Portfolio, to support the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
The post may attract a market supplement, in line with Agenda for Change 8b depending on skills and experience.
The role
We are seeking to appoint a new Senior Lecturer with a particular interest in clinical psychology related research, to cover maternity/paternity leave.
You will have responsibility for managing and monitoring the research components of the programme within the DClinPsy and their associated operational administration, curriculum development, and quality management and enhancement (including accreditation by relevant professional institutions where appropriate). You will work with the Research Director to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of research aspects of the programme in accord with the College’s education strategy and implementing the External Affairs strategy.
You will act as co-ordinator for the research teaching and be responsible for key deliverables such as the successful completion of doctoral research theses and Major research projects within standard timescales and the maintenance of strong collaborative provision with the research and clinical community in the local area. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator able to assimilate, interpret, and communicate scientific knowledge and information to a wide audience of learners and future practitioners, and will enjoy working as part of a dynamic team of educators and researchers. The successful candidate will enjoy the opportunity to build effective relationships and partnerships between the Clinical Doctoral PGR Portfolio, the wider University and external stakeholders.
The successful candidate is responsible for ensuring the creation, development and delivery of innovative teaching and learning materials for the research elements of the Programme. You will support trainees through offering research consultations within your area of methodological expertise, and the co-ordination of work such as conduct of mini-vivas. Working alongside the Research Director, we are seeking a candidate interested in leading an innovative review of the pedagogical approaches adopted for delivery of the research curricula.
