We are seeking to appoint a Research Assistant/Associate to make a leading contribution to a programme grant awarded by British Heart Foundation entitled: Targeting RUNX to Attenuate Adverse Cardiac Remodelling and Progression to Heart Failure working with Professor Christopher Loughrey, Professor Stuart Nicklin, Professor Ewan Cameron and Professor Colin Berry (University of Glasgow). You will also be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and research proposals, supervision of students within the research group as well as help manage and direct this project as opportunities allow.
The School of Cardiovascular & Metabolic Health is a Research intensive School that focusses on cardiac, vascular and metabolic diseases and is proud to host world-leading basic and clinical scientists in these areas. The School is home to a British Heart Foundation Centre of Research Excellence that focuses on vascular science and biomedicine.
We welcome applications from candidates who hold a SCQF Level 10 (Honours degree) in a relevant subject or a cognate discipline, or equivalent.
This post is full time and is to cover maternity leave for up to 9 months or until the substantive postholder returns.
