The Department of Psychology, Sociology & Politics at Sheffield Hallam University is looking to appoint a Lecturer in Counselling Psychology. This is an exciting time to join the department, as we build on our successful student recruitment and expanding research presence.
You will have knowledge and expertise that could be applied to the teaching of one or more core areas of Psychology at undergraduate and postgraduate level, in addition to offering particular expertise in counselling psychology that complements our current teaching and research interests.
You will also undertake module leadership, assessment duties, pastoral tutorial support, dissertation supervision and other related duties, and have the ability to design and deliver transformative and innovative learning experiences.
You will be expected to contribute to research and other forms of scholarly activity as a member of the Centre for Behavioural Science and Applied Psychology (CeBSAP). You must have completed, or be close to completion, of a PhD in Counselling Psychology (or equivalent qualification, as confirmed by NARIC) and have evidence of a contribution to knowledge in the field of counselling psychology. In addition, you must have, or be working towards gaining accreditation / registration with a relevant professional body.
