Job Summary
The Department of Brain Sciences is seeking a Senior Software Developer. You will be responsible to the Centre Director for the development and delivery of integrated view software for UKDRI Care and Technology Centre for dementia and other healthcare software developments, design and development of data analytics and machine learning models and IoT data, and managing the technical infrastructure (i.e., database and the Cloud servers) for the project.
This will include the development of key technology to ensure the integration of the hardware/software solutions in within the system. This post is highly technical, and the undertaken system design and development work is currently unique in the world, which will have to evolve as the project progresses. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Software Developer to make a significant contribution.
Duties and responsibilities
The Senior Software Developer will manage the design and development of innovative applications as well as the software development process and work with clinical and technical teams to showcase novel solutions within the emerging AI and technology enabled dementia care.
In addition, the postholder will be able to identify potential problems and to recommend and implement appropriate solutions to any project variances, while at the same time work with clinical and technical teams in order to showcase novel solutions within the emerging AI and technology enabled dementia care.
Essential requirements
This challenging post requires a strong and diverse skillset comprising excellent planning and organising, problem-solving, and decisions making.
In addition, you will need the ability to overcome obstacles and use own initiative and work independently and as part of a team, as required. Prior knowledge developing with TypeScript, Angular, Node.js, as well as Linux System Administration and Automation is desirable but not essential.
