We’re looking for an agile, adaptable administrator to join our busy School Office team.
The Person
You will have excellent organisational skills, be happy to multitask and be ready to change track to tackle the next priority task. As part of a busy team you will be equally comfortable tackling tasks with others or working on your own.
Confident with numbers you will able to manage financial transactions, track spending and chase up suppliers and payments.
You should have strong IT skills including MS Office and be ready to learn the different University systems and processes.
A good communicator, both written and verbal, you will feel at ease working with and supporting a wide range of colleagues and external contacts.
The Role
Our School Administrators sit right at the heart of Surrey Business School supporting colleagues to deliver our objectives in education and research. On any day the role can include managing events, supporting staff recruitment, purchasing goods and services or signposting colleagues and students to the right answers to their queries.
With 120 academic staff, 6 departments and 7 research centres Surrey Business School is a busy and diverse community. We deliver 7 undergraduate programmes, 17 postgraduate programmes and a vibrant PhD programme. We’ve achieved recent rises in the NSS and REF, and with improving rankings positions and prestigious accreditations, the School is actively building on this success and busier than ever.
This role requires occasional evening, early morning and weekend working.
