The University is seeking a Research Associate within our School of Social & Political Sciences.
This post is based in the University of Glasgow, School of Social Sciences within the UK Collaborative Centre for Housing Evidence (CaCHE) and is a fixed term contract for 24 months.
CaCHE is a UK wide collaboration aiming to become the leading independent centre for the production, analysis and dissemination of research related to housing in the UK. From the administrative central hub in Glasgow, CaCHE operates an additional four regional hubs in London, Belfast, Cardiff and Sheffield with leading academics working across our thematic areas of interest. Established in 2017, CaCHE has recently secured four more years of additional funding to continue our exciting programme of research which covers all forms of tenure across the UK.
We are seeking a Research Associate to make a leading contribution supporting our work. Based within Urban Studies at the University of Glasgow, the post-holder will work independently as well as part of our UK wide research team, providing support across a range of projects. In addition, the postholder will be given the opportunity to pursue individual research interests which are in line with the wider CaCHE objectives. They will be supported to generate their own idea and projects in collaboration with colleagues.
Whilst the postholder will work across CaCHE projects, they will have a primary focus supporting the EPSRC project ‘Flexible Air Source Heat Pump for Domestic Heating Decarbonisation’ (Fashion), led by professor Zhibin Yu and line managed by co-investigator professor Ken Gibb (who will also be the line manager for general CaCHE-related work).
The post is primarily located in the University’s East End Hub in Bridgeton and will be expected to travel across the UK.
This post is currently offered as a fixed term contract for 24 months.
