We wish to hire scholars who can help advance our goal of eliminating disparities in student outcomes, who challenge western ideas and who will build significantly on existing areas of world-leading research.

We're looking for candidates from early-career to established professors who will drive our growing research culture, including supporting colleagues to develop their full potential.

London Met has a long tradition of social justice expertise across research and teaching. We launched our Centre for Equity and Inclusion and Education for Social Justice Framework in 2021. Your work will be particularly welcome if it can connect with our many partners in London and beyond or can promote new ones. We would also like to hear from those with an understanding of how to exploit knowledge exchange and impact.

The areas of world-leading research we're looking to build on include:

• Art and design
• Area studies
• Business, economics, and place, people and organisation
• Data science, computing, digital media and communications
• Health sciences including nursing and physiotherapy
• Social sciences, including sociology and social work
• Psychology
• Politics and international relations

Within these fields we are especially interested to hear from those who can introduce diversity into our teaching, contributing in interdisciplinary ways to teaching that introduces other perspectives and commentaries including the global south. An exciting set of themes cut across our research and teaching including:

• Diversity, feminism, anti-racism and social justice
• Diasporas and migration
• Equity issues within big data, open data, artificial intelligence, robotics and cyber security
• Health, ageing and wellbeing in science and social science research
• Public policy, built environment, governance and community
