The role
The Department of History of Art at the University of Bristol seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Visual Arts and Cultural Heritage. We seek a colleague specializing in any area of art history/visual and material culture from the medieval period to the present day with expertise in curation, museology and related fields. The post-holder will make substantial contributions to the department’s curatorial units, including those taught in partnership with cultural institutions. The post-holder will expand the Department’s areas of strength and play a full part in the research culture of the School and the Faculty of Arts. We foster postgraduate and post-doctoral research of the highest quality, and we are committed to developing the research activities of individual members of staff. We offer pro-active support to ensure that colleagues make an appropriate career progression.
