We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Mathematical, Epidemiological and Economic Modelling Group, at the Big Data Institute, Nuffield Department of Medicine.
You will be responsible for developing and applying epidemiological and economic modelling of priority diseases in low-and middle-income countries, as well as contributing to the training and capacity development of LMIC modellers. You will draft a funding strategy for a five-year research programme, and also submit funding proposals. You will write and submit research papers in the field of economic and/or epidemiological modelling on public health issues, and contribute to research publications, book chapters and reviews.
It is essential that you hold a PhD (or close to completion) in economic modelling or a related topic. You will be able to manage your own academic research and associated activities, as well as being able to contribute ideas for new research projects and research income generation. It is essential that you have excellent communication skills, including the ability to write for publication, present research proposals and results, and represent the research group at meetings.
