Senior Development Officer

Full time (36.25 hours per week)

Magdalene is one of the most beautiful colleges in Cambridge. It has the longest river frontage of any Cambridge college and we’re located near the centre of Cambridge without being right in the centre.

Magdalene College is seeking to appoint a confident Senior Development Officer with strong interpersonal skills to build on the success of the College’s Regular Giving Programme and able to forge effective and long-term relationships with potential major donors. We would expect a track record with fundraising for the Annual Fund, including experience of Telephone Campaigns, and some knowledge of face-to-face fundraising although training will be provided for the right candidate.

This post is a great opportunity to further develop a career in Development in the Higher Education sector.

Applicants should have experience working within a results-orientated environment such as fundraising, sales or marketing (gained in full time, part time or voluntary roles), and experience of annual fund fundraising as well as developing plans to enhance the regular giving programme.  Applicants should also have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.

The position is full-time, 36.25 hours a week, and attracts a highly competitive salary ranging from £34,000 - £37,000 p.a. (dependent on experience) and excellent benefits including:
