The role
The School of Earth Sciences seeks to appoint a postdoctoral researcher for 2.5 years to work on developing realistic models of magmatic systems as part of the ERC grant ‘Imaging Magmatic Systems’.
What will you be doing?
The postdoc will develop 3-D models of magmatic architecture based on the growth and coalescence of intrusions, and explore the link between the long-term growth of magma bodies and observations of short-term deformation.
You should apply if
We are looking for candidates with experience of numerical modelling in the solid earth geosciences, preferably of magmatic systems and/or volcanic deformation.
For informal enquiries please contact Prof. Juliet Biggs, juliet.biggs@bristol.ac.uk.
We seek to attract, develop, and retain individuals from the widest possible talent pool and the broadest possible range of backgrounds. We are committed to building an inclusive working environment where all colleagues can thrive and reach their full potential. We particularly welcome applications from Black African, Black Caribbean and other minority ethnic groups, as they are currently under-represented across our university.
