This is a new role within the Communications, Marketing and Student Recruitment Department and will be responsible for a range of university-wide services to promote the university’s strategic objectives and achieve its student recruitment ambitions.
The postholder will lead work to achieve the University’s ambition to increase student numbers, by crafting and developing the overall brand narrative for Newman University. You will translate the values and strategic objectives of the institution for a range of audiences including external bodies and partners, staff and students (future, current and alumni). You will already have experience in developing a digital strategy, especially when delivering messaging across multiple platforms, including the CRM.
As an experienced professional, you will line manage a small team of communications, events and digital professionals, and deputise for the Director of Communications and Marketing, contributing to the Communications and Marketing business plan. You will be able to articulate our mission, vision and values so that they become core messaging both internally and externally. You will be experienced in broadening the external profile of an institution through public relations campaigns and proactive media relations. You will lead and champion the university’s brand position and positioning strategy across multiple markets and with segmented groups, including brand messaging, tone of voice and design.
