Oxford Brookes University is one of five approved organisations who deliver the Nursing and Midwifery Council’s (NMC) Test of Competence. There are 4 other approved universities - Ulster University, University of Northampton, Northumbria University Newcastle, and one approved trust - The Leeds Teaching Hospitals. We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic individual to join our busy administration team, supporting the NMC’s Test of Competence for international nurses and midwives who are seeking registration with the NMC. In the role you will meet international candidates who have come from all over the world and you will play an important part of their journey to join the nursing and midwifery register, and complement our UK workforce.

In the role you will be:

  • Part of the Objective Structured Clinical Exam (OSCE) team for the NMC Competence Test Centre at Oxford Brookes University.
  • To provide relevant examination information to the academic lead, lead examiner and receptionist and liaise with candidates and staff in preparation for and during OSCE examinations.
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work in a team.

You should have:

  • Good general education to A level or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Previous experience working in an office environment 

This is a shift-type of job, the working hours will be:

Week 1: 07:30 – 15:30

Week 2: 09:30 – 17:30

This role is normally Monday to Friday, but occasionally a working day may be moved to the weekend.
