The School of Human Sciences recently re-located to the fantastic and newly refurbished Dreadnought building on the World Heritage site at the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich. This move, along with the creation of new laboratory facilities, is part of significant investment in the School and part of a long-term plan to build internationally leading research and teaching in the Faculty.  As part of this investment, we are looking to appoint a committed and engaged colleague to help grow and develop the School. In particular, we are looking for a motivated individual to make a significant contribution to our new Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology. We are looking for colleagues who will have a commitment to maintaining and building the University’s excellence in teaching and learning, and who are doing research that has the potential for significant long-term academic and societal impact. As a Faculty we also welcome candidates whose research work will resonate with one or more new interdisciplinary Faculty Research Centres within the newly formed Institute for Lifecourse Development:

  • Centre for Chronic Disease and Ageing
  • Centre for Inequalities
  • Centre for Mental Health
  • Centre for Professional Workforce Development
  • Centre for Thinking and Learning
  • Centre for Vulnerable Children and Families

The School has an active and growing research base. Psychology performed well REF2021, particularly in the area of research environment. The University is currently rated TEF gold, reflecting our excellent teaching and learning.
