We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to work alongside our Digital Technology Services Senior Leadership Team (SLT) at a time of unprecedented digital transformation to provide comprehensive, professional support directly to the Chief Digital Officer (CDO), Deputy CDO and the team that underpin the operational management of the DTS department.

As the Executive Assistant & Compliance Lead, you will be responsible for providing high level executive support for the CDO and Deputy CDO, including at senior level meetings. You will help to champion and drive forward best practice administrative procedures across the department, ensuring a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

Your role will require liaison with staff, students and leaders at all levels of the organisation, including University Executive Board. You will be an exceptional communicator, who is able to build effective relationships at various levels of seniority, including colleagues and customers. You will also provide support for departmental governance, supporting meetings, overseeing overall administration and adherence to policy and procedures, including facilitation of FOI requests and championing awareness of compliance and assurance across the department.

In undertaking all these tasks, you will be highly adaptable and flexible, with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure to meet demanding deadlines, Strong organisational and management skills are essential, along with experience in handling sensitive or confidential issues.

As the successful candidate, you will have a Degree/professional qualification and/or track record of undertaking an Executive Assistant role and providing managerial support at a senior level.

This is a fixed-term position, available for 12 months. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours); however, applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week). Requests for secondment from internal candidates may be considered on the basis that prior agreement has been sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post, if you are already undertaking a secondment role.
