It is a service-driven function made up of communications and marketing professionals who deliver sector-leading media relations, public affairs, institutional communications, brand and integrated marketing, student recruitment, and events.

About the role

We are recruiting for a Marketing Officer (Publications) to join us on a Fixed-Term Contract or a secondment for internal staff until 30th May 2025.

This exciting opportunity will put you at the heart of VPEE’s work to communicate UCL’s degree programmes to the world. You’ll work as part of an agile team responsible for producing our award-winning prospectuses, our student recruitment collateral and the designs and copy for our marketing.

A large part of this role will involve liaising with UCL colleagues in relation to producing marketing materials, auditing and proofing copy for use in UCL’s CRM system, laying out and typesetting printed publications, including amendments to booklets, and creation/revision of additional recruitment materials.

About you

We’re looking for someone with creative flair, exceptional written communication skills and meticulous attention to detail who will relish working in a fast-paced environment liaising with colleagues from across UCL.

You'll need experience in publications production and general administrative work, familiarity with the use of web design and site management software for the creation of web pages within pre-set templates, and an understanding of the impact of Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) advice and guidance on student recruitment communications.
