The COO will manage the internal activities of HJS, ensure financial forecasting and discipline, and make key operational decisions while maintaining accountability.
The COO will lead in financial management and forecasting, support the Executive Director in strategic development, and handle office management, HR, and legal matters. This position offers opportunities for strategic vision and organizational leadership on a macro level, combined with a hands-on approach to micro issues. Collaborating closely with the Executive Director and the Board of Trustees, the COO will lead by example, manage the Senior Management Team, provide guidance to all employees, and ensure the quality of the charity’s work.
We seek an individual comfortable with addressing problems directly, foreseeing and preventing issues within projects, managing multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously, and fostering staff collaboration and development. Candidates with experience in restructuring internal operations to improve corporate culture and demonstrable people skills are particularly welcome. The goal is to provide consistent strategic, financial, and operational leadership alongside the Executive Director and Board of Trustees, creating a platform for growth to enable the organization to reach its full potential.
