We're seeking an exceptional individual for the new role of Director of Health Education at ARU Peterborough. This position will be pivotal in providing strategic and operational leadership for all health courses at ARU Peterborough, a new university for Peterborough. The successful candidate will oversee academic leadership, management and coordination of staff engaged in health courses, including apprenticeship programs and short courses. Moreover, they will take a strategic overview of staffing, workload allocation and resources.
The Director of Health Education will play a key role in shaping the future of health education at ARU Peterborough. They will establish clear communication channels and collaborate closely with the Faculty of Health, Medicine, and Social Care at ARU. Responsibilities include developing and implementing strategic plans for course enhancement, fostering external partnerships, and ensuring outstanding student experiences.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a commitment to fostering inclusivity and high-quality education. With a doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in a relevant field and experience in supporting others with research, innovation or scholarly activity, you will also have a professional qualification in nursing and/or Midwifery and current registration with the NMC.
