The role
We are currently recruiting for a full time Research Governance Officer on a fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.
The post holders will be responsible for managing risks to the University relating to the conduct of research in health and social-care settings. They will be a primary point of contact and will provide support and guidance to student and academic researchers who are conducting, or applying to conduct, research in health and social-care settings.
What will you be doing?
You will review applications for new studies and amendments to ongoing studies for compliance with national regulations and guidance, UoB policies and expectations, and for ethical concerns. You will provide specialist support, information and guidance to researchers.
You will be subject-matter experts for matters relating to the UK Policy Framework for Health and Social Care, NHS Research Ethics Committees, the Health Research Authority, the Integrated Research Application System (IRAS), relevant UoB policies, and collaborations with health and social-care providers.
