About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to work with the CI (Claire Cameron) and the research team on all aspects of PPIE (Public and Patient Involvement and Engagement) for a new NIHR (National Institute for Health and Care Research) funded project at UCL.
The project is investigating the impact of co-locating welfare advisory services with health appointments for newborn children on the health and wellbeing of mothers and, where possible, fathers. The project is called Healthier Wealthier Families in East London. The research is taking place in Tower Hamlets and Newham.
You will be responsible for consulting parents and carers and representing their views to the research team in a variety of forums. You will be part of the project’s management team.
You will join a vibrant and collegial research environment to which you will contribute, both in the research team and in the broader department and faculty/ies.
About you
With a bachelor’s degree in social science, public health or a related area of study, you will also have experience of health, community or social research with families in diverse urban communities. The PPIE role would suit someone who lives in the borough of Tower Hamlets or Newham and is familiar with issues related to poverty and parenting.
The salary for this post is £42,099 p.a. inclusive of London Allowance, pro rata.
