Are you a clinical trainee with an interest in research and cardiovascular imaging? Would you like the opportunity to obtain an MD or PhD and receive Level 3 training in cardiac MRI? Then this is your opportunity to be part of a world-leading clinical research team to deliver a BHF funded research study in a Russell Group University.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our research team, working on one of our research themes in cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging. As part of a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, physicists and data scientists, you will working on the VENTOUX (VENTricular arrhythmia and cardiac fibrOsis in endUrance eXperienced athletes) research programme. You will lead your own studies in one of these areas, including methods development and clinical studies, as well as contributing to the work of the research group as a whole.
The post supports our institute’s internationally-leading research programme in cardiovascular imaging. The post holder will work with advanced MR methods including MR Spectroscopy, Diffusion Tensor Imaging, multi-directional flow and parametric mapping and our clinical trials team. They will also work in the fields of sports cardiology and cardiac rhythm monitoring.
You will be supported in applying for an externally funded PhD fellowship at the University of Leeds. You will also have the opportunity to undertake clinical training in CMR up to Level 3.
