We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to support the learning experience of students, in practical and project work, within the curriculum laid down by teaching staff, including demonstrating the correct and safe use of machinery and equipment.
The role includes assisting teaching staff in practical classes and in the preparation of relevant instruction manuals and other teaching materials along with participating in the assessment of students’ progress in accordance with the scheme laid down by teaching staff.
You would be required to prepare, set out and clear away equipment, experiments and displays to support practical sessions as well as assist in the ordering of relevant materials and equipment.
In addition to this the role requires you to maintain relevant, day-to-day records, including inventories and stock control along with participate in the provision of a portable appliance-testing service for the campus.
The role also requires responsibility for the safe use and security of relevant equipment and practical facilities.
