The Wessex Inspiration Network is seeking a Project Officer to work in schools delivering a variety of content to under-represented learners across the region.
This a part time role (21.9 hours per week) offered 3 days per week term-time only (44.85 weeks per year), for a fixed-term period to cover parental leave until March 2025.
About the role
The Wessex Inspiration Network (WIN) is one of the UniConnect consortia being funded by the Office for Students (OfS) to increase progression of under-represented students to higher education. The focus is in areas where fewer than average numbers of qualified young people continue to further study. The WIN works across Bath and Northeast Somerset, North Somerset and Wiltshire. The WIN is led by the University of Bath but has members from across HE, FE, schools and local employers.
About you
You will deliver a programme of outreach for school and college students from years 9 to 13. A team player, with experience of working with young people in formal and informal settings, you will be delivering activity to support students in their progression post-18.
You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders including parents/carers, teachers and youth and community groups. A positive attitude and a strong commitment to building good working relationships with the WIN partner schools and colleges is imperative. You will also support the wider project activities such as workshops, subject specific trips and talks.

You should be prepared to travel to and work outside the university, and hold a current UK driving licence.
