This is a permanent 0.8 FTE post for Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Developmental & Educational Psychology. The post will require you to undertake teaching, assessment and related activities in the areas of Developmental and Educational Psychology, for which we have an undergraduate pathway and specific modules at levels 4, 5 and 6, thus core teaching duties shall be on our BPS accredited Psychology undergraduate programme, however there will also be teaching responsibilities across our postgraduate provision.
We want you to be able to carry out your work in a way that best supports UON and our students, but also you as an individual. We understand this may vary between different areas of the university as well as from one person to another. About you
You will have a proven educational background in Developmental & Educational Psychology or a closely related discipline, as well as at least one other core area of Psychology. A working knowledge of quantitative and/or qualitative research methods is essential. Previous experience of teaching in Further/Higher Education is a distinct advantage.
A dedication to providing a personalised and supportive student learning experience is essential to the post. You will have well developed written and verbal communication, time management and organisational skills and an effective approach to completing tasks. Good IT skills, including competence in using virtual learning environments and remote teaching platforms is essential.
