The Department of Politics at Sussex is a well-established and successful research-led department with a record of excellence in research assessment exercises and in teaching. The department is home to the world-leading Sussex Centre for the Study of Corruption (CSC) and is seeking to appoint a suitable candidate as a Lecturer in Politics for a fixed-term until 31st August 2025.
The successful candidate will be a committed academic who can teach a range of modules on both our undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. This will include teaching on the MA Corruption and Governance (delivered on campus and online) and may include teaching on final year UG specialist corruption-related modules. The successful candidate may well be asked to teach on other parts of the department’s undergraduate curriculum.
We are looking to appoint a research active academic possessing a developing record of publications. Applicants should also be able to demonstrate potential for securing research funding.
