The post is an integral part of the Financial Accounting team of the University’s Finance Directorate which is responsible for all aspects of transactional activity and statutory reporting for the University.
Reporting to the Treasury Manager, the Treasury Assistant will provide support for the administration and management of the University and the wider Group’s working capital balances. This includes ownership of payment runs, recording banking transactions, managing petty cash, administering corporate credit cards, and providing a focal point for audit requests. The Treasury assistant will also be expected to support the Income and Credit Control team when required.
To be considered for the role you should have a good standard of education with an HNC/HND in an accountancy related subject and/or significant experience in a similar finance environment.
You will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of treasury activities, a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to keep accurate records of daily operations.
Experience of credit control and cash handling would be advantageous but not essential.
This will be a hybrid working role and thus the candidate must be able to attend the office in Aberdeen on a weekly basis.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 4, £25,742 - £29,605 per annum with placement according to qualifications and experience.
