Research Bid Coordinator

You will provide leading contributions in shaping a portfolio of proposals to secure funding success in research and knowledge exchange. You will provide advanced specialist advice to researchers and collaborators as well as coordinate development needs across a portfolio of bids with varying dimensions and complexity involving a range of different internal and external funders.

This post is fixed term available from September 2024 until 31 August 2025.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering flexible working patterns for not less than 0.8fte (28 hours per week), or requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working. 

Your skills and attributes for success:

• Degree in relevant subject or equivalent formal training, plus typically a minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience in a similar or related role(s) or Typically 5 to 8 years’ vocational experience, demonstrating development through involvement in progressively more demanding relevant work/roles (Desirable).
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of supporting and developing bids in research environment or working with similar design considerations in any other transferable environment 
• Established track record of collaborative working and relationship management across different groups and partnerships.
• Clear understandings of codes of practice, regulations and statutory obligations in relevant field
• Experience of balancing portfolios of work and developed knowledge of governance and risk in projects (Desirable).
