About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in the Visual Arts department of Rotherham College supporting the Art, design and Fashion department. The successful applicant would be joining a team of technicians to provide support to the learners and staff within the area.
You will be expected to carry out duties related to the delivery of outstanding teaching and learning including, managing and maintaining the equipment store, to ensure that classes have the relevant kit ready for use and to support students. You would be expected to set classrooms up with equipment and resources, offering support to teachers and students throughout. Experience in 3D and/or ceramics techniques and skills
You will…
Have previous experience working within the Art & Design industry and ideally of working with young people. You will hold an Art & Design Qualification and your L2 English and Maths or equivalent. You will need to have excellent team, communication and IT skills.
Desirable qualifications include Health & Safety and First Aid at Work.
Department Info
You will report directly to the Senior Technician, but take day to day direction from Curriculum Team Leader and Lecturers. You will also work as part of a wider technical support team in the department of Visual and Performing Arts.
