Main duties and responsibilities
The Successful candidate would be expected to support and oversee our large bank of teaching staff and will assist in ensuring that all our swimming lessons have appointed teachers, arranging cover for sickness and holidays. You will supervise lessons on a rota basis, to ensure we are delivering lessons to an exceptional standard to a wide range of swimmers, both children and adults, including those with additional needs, in line with Swim England’s National Plan for Teaching Swimming. You will also be dealing with a high volume of enquiries face to face, via email and over telephone from those considering joining our programme as well as our existing customers, offering a level of customer service unrivalled by our competitors.
Skill and experience required
You will have experience of working in a swim teaching environment with a knowledge of the Swim England Pathway. You will also have experience of working in a customer focussed organisation with demonstrable communication and interpersonal skills and be committed to promoting service excellence. Experience of a role in which you have successfully managed challenging conversations would be beneficial. You will be an excellent problem solver, able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
Qualifications required
Educated with a minimum of A-levels or equivalent qualifications. Minimum of Swim England Level 1 Assistant Teaching qualification. Level 2 Swim Teacher qualification, emergency first aid (or ability to pass within 6 months), safeguarding children / child protection qualification are desirable.
