The Role
As a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (depending on experience), you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education and contributing to cutting-edge research in the field of civil and structural engineering. Your expertise in seismic analysis and design to EC8 will be essential in shaping the next generation of engineers and advancing our research initiatives.
The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Civil and Structural Engineering will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and advancing research in seismic analysis and design of structures, specifically in accordance with Eurocodes. The successful candidate will contribute to both teaching and research excellence, foster industry partnerships, and mentor students at various academic levels. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of seismic analysis and design. They will be expected to join our dynamic structural analysis and design team to deliver student-cantered, high-quality teaching and research.
The Person
The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of seismic analysis and design in accordance with Eurocodes. They will join our dynamic structural analysis and design team, which is part of a department comprising over 30 distinguished academic members of staff. Our department is recognized as a leader among higher education institutions, thanks to our cutting-edge laboratories and state-of-the-art research facilities.

This is a full time, permanent position.
We are looking to appoint at a starting salary of £43,187 per annum for a Lecturer or £48,251 per annum for a Senior Lecturer, depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
