The School of Engineering has seen a period of exceptional growth in research, teaching, and enterprise activities. To support and maintain such growth, we are appointing to two lecturing posts in Civil Engineering to support and maintain such growth.
Successful candidates must have proven experience in developing, delivering, and assessing high quality material that integrate modern and emerging technologies in the delivery of core topics in Civil Engineering. Ideally, candidates should have expertise in two or more of the following subject areas:
Applicants must have a strong research profile, the potential to develop internationally recognised research programmes, excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Indeed, we wish to invite applications from a broad range of candidates with different skill sets. Preference will be given to applicants with a first degree in civil engineering, a PhD in a relevant subject, and can combine excellence in teaching with the capacity to conduct novel, interdisciplinary engineering research that will expand and complement the school’s research strengths.
Familiarity with the UK higher education system and external accreditation processes will be an advantage.
Successful candidates will be based at the Medway campus but may be required to work at the university’s other campuses. More information about the role can be found in the job description.
