Join our Faculty of Health and Life Sciences Technical Team!
We're seeking a Level 3 Research Technician. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to advancing knowledge and innovation while playing a crucial role in maintaining operational excellence.
This is an open-ended contract, working full time 35hrs / week, Monday – Friday.
What will you be doing?
As a vital member of our collaborative and vibrant technical support team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting cutting-edge research activities across three schools within the Biomedical Sciences Building: Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular Medicine, and Physiology, Pharmacology, and Neuroscience.
Your role will include overseeing daily lab activities with precision, maintaining and servicing high-tech equipment, managing inventory and ordering essential supplies, and crafting solutions and media for groundbreaking experiments. You'll support our team by addressing their requests efficiently while also conducting engaging laboratory inductions, coordinating logistics and organising maintenance, assisting with equipment relocations and setup and tackle unplanned lab tasks with readiness and skill. You should apply if
You have experience working in a Life Sciences laboratory or similar coupled with a fervent drive for high-quality research support. You should also demonstrate organisational skills, be efficient, adaptable, and familiar with working in a busy laboratory environment. Deadline-driven work is essential.
