- THE ROLE -
With over 6,000 students and 250 academic staff, Ulster University’ s Faculty of Life & Health Sciences offers an extensive portfolio of accredited Degree and research programmes covering seven diverse disciplines. Within the Faculty, the School of Medicine is currently developing a new generation of doctors for the 21st century who will understand the needs of our communities and can deliver the care required.
The Clinical & Communications Skills Tutor will facilitate learning in the CCS tutorial setting by helping students to identify curriculum content prompted by the CCS scenario and facilitate discussion around these topics.
Facilitating ongoing student reflection on their learning and evaluation of their performance and development, the CCS Tutor will be familiar with the learning objectives of the curriculum and will contribute to course content review processes.
- ABOUT YOU -
The post-holder will be required to:
- Have a MBBS degree or equivalent
- Be clinically active
- Be registered with the GMC or an equivalent professional governing body, and have a licence to practice
- Have experience of small group teaching or workshop supervision in the Higher Education or Clinical setting
- Have proficiency in a range of clinical, communication skills, and practical procedures relevant to undergraduate medical training
- Have a working knowledge of intranet systems, and MS Office packages including email and Teams
