We are looking for a Technical and Production Lead (Creative Performance and Production) to support our Department of Performing Arts. This is a broad and varied role and will require the need to work closely with academic colleagues across the Faculty of Education and the Arts, as well as with its various stakeholders both across the University and externally.
The Ideal candidate will have experience of technical theatre, including the design, building, and crewing experience in all aspects of Performing Arts, with up-to-date knowledge of lighting and sound systems, control apparatus and audio-visual equipment. Together with budget management and team working skills. Experience of working in a theatre for a school/college or University and/or theatre industry experience would be advantageous.
This role will require attendance on campus including some evening and weekends, especially during assessment points throughout the year, and during the Department of Performing Arts public facing productions held both internally at the University’s onsite theatre or at the Theatre Royal, Winchester.
The Technical and Production Lead will work to ensure that all activities are carried out to the highest standard of safety, efficiency, and quality, whilst maintain artistic qualities and technical practicalities.
