About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Graduate Studies team in the Department of Paediatrics as our Graduate Studies Assistant Manager.
You will play an important role in the contribution of successfully administering the Paediatric Infectious Diseases Programme.
You will be responsible for the smooth delivery of the PGCertificate, PGDiploma and MSc courses, handling all aspects of the student life-cycle from admission to successful completion, and provide effective support through great communication and organisational skills.
You will be working in a growing department within the Medical Sciences Division. The Department of Paediatrics is a world leader in child health research and hosts internationally renowned research programmes in drug development, gastroenterology, haematology, HIV, immunology, neuroimaging, neuromuscular diseases and vaccinology.
This position is offered full-time on a permanent contract
About you
You will have considerable experience of working within higher education administration, with proven and demonstrable technical skills, including knowledge of university systems and processes. You will possess strong organisational skills and display high attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to exercise discretion and judgement. You will have highly effective verbal and written communication skills and an ability to operate effectively in a demanding environment.

The Department of Paediatrics encourages staff to develop their skills by offering all staff ten paid days of professional development each year. The department also has a departmental policy where staff can apply for funding or additional days for training courses to support their professional development.
