This is an opportunity for someone to develop their career and be involved across a broad programme of university events, particularly focused around the 60th Anniversary celebration programme. This programme aims to enable experiences that will: inspire confidence in our future; connect people and ideas; and enable collaborative progress towards our 2030 Strategy.
As an Events Coordinator, you will be an integral member of a small core central Events team working with colleagues across all departments; academic, professional services and operations to plan and implement events. The associated events will include a range of scales and themes.

About You
We are looking for a highly motivated, personable, exceptionally well organised and experienced events professional to help deliver key events. These events will include elements of graduation and strategic institutional events in addition to the Anniversary programme). This role will require an on campus presence especially during peak times.
Providing a high level of event support, this role will work with multiple stakeholders at senior levels but also visiting VIPS, requiring tact, discretion and confidentiality.
The role will also help meet the University’s ongoing strategic priorities by providing logistical and organisational support to relevant teams, working with other internal and external stakeholders.
You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You should be able to demonstrate a flexible approach to work, the capacity to master new areas of knowledge quickly, the ability to progress various projects simultaneously, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team, delivering key services with departmental and institutional partners.
You will need to be able to work under pressure to the highest standards in a fast-paced environment, providing high quality events across a programme of activity that represents the broader ambitions and priorities for the university.
You will need to demonstrate experience of, and a passion for, delivering a broad programme that is mapped to agreed objectives and outcomes.
