The role
The University of Bristol IT Services division is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, skilled and experienced professional to join our Web and Security Services Applications team.
This is the senior technical role in team of 4. The team support, maintain and upgrade the University’s web infrastructure and Security Systems applications. The role holder will provide technical knowledge and expertise, with a particular focus on the University’s web platform, whilst also providing technical leadership and mentoring of the team.

What will you be doing?
The role holder has technical responsibility for the team’s set of services, supporting the Team Manager in the operational management of these services and working with the Team Manager and service stakeholders to manage the complete service lifecycle.
You will provide senior technical expertise for the team’s operational support functions, handling incidents, problems, service and change requests and taking a lead on continuous improvement activities within the team’s portfolio.
You will be responsible for creating and maintaining technical and operational documentation.
You will show initiative and agility in maintaining services, you will be confident working independently as well as part of a team. You will be a champion of the IT Services Charter and Change Management and support the delivery of the Digital Strategy.
