The Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence (CFI) invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor to contribute to the Centre's postgraduate programmes. We are seeking an ambitious candidate with initiative, excellent organisational skills, and a broad intellectual range, who will play a central role in further developing CFI as a world-class research and teaching centre. The appointment is full time and will be fixed term for 12 months in the first instance.
The role holder will primarily support the MSt in AI Ethics and Society while maintaining the University's national and international reputation for excellence.
Applicants from a wide range of disciplines are encouraged, including but not limited to, law, policy, technology, philosophy, or sociology, but prior research on AI- and technology-related topics is essential, and a track record of interdisciplinary work is strongly desirable.
The successful candidate will have an educational background or established interest in topics related to AI ethics and society, such as, but not constrained to, law, computer science, philosophy, politics, sociology, or anthropology. Candidates should demonstrate experience of teaching programme development, leadership, and resource or line management.
CFI is a highly interdisciplinary research and teaching centre addressing the challenges and opportunities posed by artificial intelligence (AI), in both the short and long term. CFI is based at the University of Cambridge within the Institute for Technology and Humanity, with partners in Imperial College London, and UC Berkeley, and close links with industry and policymakers.
