The Procurement Team at the University of Dundee manages the University’s c£80m-£90m annual spend on goods, services and works. The team ensure Directorates and Schools obtain value for money and that any spend is in compliance with the relevant national and international legislation. As part of the Finance and Procurement Directorate, the Procurement Team play a key role in contributing to the University’s wider strategic goals whilst ensuring the requirements of the Schools and Directorates we support are met in an efficient and effective way.
We are recruiting for an exceptional individual to join us as a Category Manager within our Team. Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the corporate category of spend including the development and delivery of a category strategy identifying opportunities for savings and benefits within the corporate category. This includes the analysis of spend and the award and management of any subsequent contracts, ensuring outcomes are aligned with the University’s strategic aims.
The Corporate Category Manager role is based in the Procurement Office in the Tower Building. The University operates a hybrid working policy therefore staff will be required to be on campus two days per week and work from home three days per week.
