Cambridge University's VPD Heart and Lung Research Institute (HLRI) is seeking a dedicated Purchasing and Facilities Technician to be part of a team that is at the forefront of biomedical research.
As part of the VPD-HLRI team within the Department of Medicine, you'll contribute to our mission of advancing global heart and lung health. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced staff and play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the Institutes facilities.
We are currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented-Purchasing and Facilities Technician to join our team. The role involves responsibility for receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming goods. The applicant will assist with carrying out stock checks and all services running through the Goods In department including ensuring accurate inventory management. The role also involves supporting the Laboratory and Buildings team regarding operational processes. This includes ensuring there is an adequate supply of clean laboratory glassware, moving equipment, setting up meeting rooms and assisting with general maintenance. The role holder will be a valued part of the Building Services Team that is part of an Institute that has a meaningful impact on global health.
