We have an opportunity for an Academic Programme Officer to join the fantastic team in the Academic Programmes Centre on the MSc Health Service Improvement and Evaluation, with its first cohort of students joining in 2025/26 academic year at the Nuffield Department of Medicine.
As the Academic Programme Officer, you will act as the first point of contact for students for all academic issues – extensions, suspensions, assessment matters, general enquiries about the programme; providing advice about coming to Oxford and provide support with visas, acclimatisation information etc. You will coordinate and oversee all aspects of the administration of the programme,and will provide support to the cohort of students, starting at selection and admission through to completion of the course, overseeing the liaison with colleges and central university processes. Additionally, you will take responsibility for the administrative aspects of quality assurance and support the Academic Programmes Manager with recruitment as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will be educated to A-Level standard or equivalent qualification, together with previous administrative experience in a university student-based role and knowledge of student and course administration. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels, and internal and external stakeholders. You will be able to work independently as well as a part of a team and deliver high levels of customer service.
