We are the University of Cumbria, for and from Cumbria and our localities, rooted in serving our communities, with people, place and partnership at our heart.
Now is a very exciting time to be joining us because we are delivering a new "Towards 2030" strategic plan focused on making the most of our three most valuable assets; People, Place and Partnerships, to become a catalyst for economic well-being for our region, nationally and internationally.
As we continue our development and growth as a University, we are pleased to invite applications for a Finance Systems Administrator to join our ambitious and supportive Finance team. The Finance Systems Administrator will play a lead role in making sure our finance systems operate smoothly. Our finance systems, including our primary accounting software, Unit4 Agresso, and our student payments system, WPM, and its online store, are vital in ensuring the effective recording of financial transactions, the provision of information about financial performance and in providing students and external organisations with the means to make and receive payments.
This key role will include following and developing procedures for user set-up, maintenance and management, and leading initial troubleshooting efforts to investigate issues, liaising with their manager, external support and IT colleagues as appropriate. Excellent customer service as well as a focus on innovation and development will be important as we seek to meet the needs of staff, students and others.
As a member of the wider Finance team, you will have opportunities to gain experience of financial processes and accounting and in relevant projects, with the potential option for support to study for formal accounting qualifications via an apprenticeship.
Whilst this is a 1 FTE role, applications from candidates available on a part-time basis, will also be considered. Informal Enquiries: Gill Poole, Finance Manager (gill.poole@cumbria.ac.uk) or Ben Clark, Head of Financial Performance and Planning (ben.clark@cumbria.ac.uk) We offer a comprehensive set of staff benefits which includes a competitive salary, 33 days holiday plus bank holidays, hybrid working in line with business need, and an excellent pension scheme with 8% employer contribution.
