Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford is a world-class business school, embedded within a prestigious university. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as Associate Director – Strategic Initiatives. Working directly with the Chief Operating Officer, Deputy Dean for External Relations and the Dean, in this senior role, you will be crucial in shaping and delivering key initiatives that will drive the School’s strategic goals.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and execute strategic initiatives set by the Dean and Leadership Team managing all aspects from budgetary forecasting to team coordination and progress monitoring.
- Engage and manage relationships with senior stakeholders, both internal and external, ensuring their support and commitment to the project.
- Align initiative goals with the University’s strategic plan, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
- Assist in developing and executing strategies to enhance the School’s external relations, representing the School at key events.
You should have significant experience in large, complex organisations, ideally within the University of Oxford or a leading university. Additionally, you should demonstrate strategic planning skills, sound judgment and the ability to manage a diverse and evolving workload. You must also have experience in budget management, project implementation and stakeholder engagement, and be proficient in IT with a readiness to adopt new technologies.
